1: How is Thumbresources.org funded? Have you noticed that Thumbresources.org is not cluttered with pop up ads and scrolling advertisements. You have our sponsors to thank. A family friendly site is a priority for the volunteers in our workgroup. Sponsorships are our only form of financial support. If you would like to keep this valuable resource available and obtain some cost efficient exposure on the web, please consider a sponsorship. For more information, see our sponsorship form or brochure.

2: How can I get an article posted on your home page?
Submit a program at your agency for the next month's Program Spotlight, More...

3: Why did information for my agency stop appearing on the site?
Having CURRENT information listed on Thumbresources.org is essential! Beginning October 1, 2006 a new policy will be implemented. Any entry to Thumbresources.org that has not been updated in the past 12 months will be archived. Information older than 12 months will no longer be available to for public searches. The information will NOT be deleted so that if an agencies would like to reactivate the data, it is still there. If you happen to have one of the entries that are archived, all you need to do is log in and update the information. Click on SUBMIT even if you make no changes so that the site knows to renew the date last updated. For more information or if you have lost your username and password, contact us.

The agencies, programs, and events in the Thumbresources directory are not endorsed by sponsoring organizations.

Take a Moment to be Counted- Participate in the Thumb Health Survey

Have you received a letter from Michigan State University lately? If so, you may be receiving an important phone call soon. The call you receive will ask you to answer survey questions that are important to improving healthcare in Huron, Sanilac, and Tuscola counties. So please, don’t hang up that phone. Your results are completely confidential and the statistics gathered from all survey participants are important. The survey is sponsored by the Thumb Rural Health Network (TRHN). TRHN members are the hospitals and health departments of Huron, Sanilac and Tuscola Counties. The project will be used to assess the health of adults in the Thumb, plan programs to improve the health of Thumb residents, help your local hospital and health department to address local health issues, and help health providers evaluate their efforts. Results will be used to bring grants and other funding to your local community. Healthcare providers will use your input to plan programs that will make a difference to your health and the lives of your loved ones! Take a little time to have your say. For more information, you may contact Kay Balcer, Project Consultant at 989-479-3468. For health data already collected and compiled by TRHN, download the Huron-Sanilac-Tuscola County 2003 Behavioral Risk Factor Survey-Powerpoint or 2003 Full Report & Tables or Thumb Health Data Book-April 2007 .
